will not see the outcome. If you won your Beer Leg, please contact me and we'll update the system from here.
Conversely - since not everyone will read this - if you lost the Beer leg, be a sport & let me know.

Email problem | 20th
June |
||||||
There is currently a problem in that I cannot send out to certain email addresses such as hotmail accounts and others.
Bampton Aunt Sally emails are routed via my personal Orange account. Many Orange subscribers are reporting their emails being blocked by other Internet Service Providers as spam.
If you are currently expecting a reply from me and haven't received it, please telephone me (01367 253788)
I can then reply to you via a web based account I've just set up.
It would also help if you could always send a read receipt to anything you receive from me, because that will help to identify which addresses work and which don't.
Whilst Orange are working with the affected ISPs to resolve this, at the moment, I have no idea how long this will take.
Incoming email is unaffected.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but totally beyond our control.

The heats of the Men's Singles were played last night to semi-final stage.

Unplayed matches | 8th
June |
||||||
The Committee will review and adjudicate on any unplayed matches at the next meeting on Monday July 12th.
May I remind everyone that the rules stipulate that you must re-arrange the match within 14 days and inform the Secretary immediately.
This has not happened with many of the unplayed matches so far - and may affect the outcome of an adjudication.
If this applies to you - get in touch now and explain the circumstances.
Section H - Changes | 8th
June |
||||||
With regret we have to announce the expulsion of the Royal Oak Lechlade (Green Army) for having failed to play any matches to date.
No score adjustment will be necessary at this stage , but averages may be altered at the end of season for equity in promotion opportunities for 2011.
The Committee apologises to all teams in Section H for the inconvenience and disruption.
A new fixture list (v3.0) is available for download if required.
Competition Entry - extension | 8th

||||||
To encourage entry to the lesser supported competitions, we've decided to extend the deadline for a further two weeks until Monday 21st June
This applies to all competitions EXCEPT Mens Singles and Mens Pairs.
On-line entry will not be available, so contact the Secretary by phone or email.

Changes for 2010:- | 29th
March |
||||||
8 A Side | |||||||
To accommodate the additional teams, there will be three separate competition events this year, all free.
Primary - contested by Prem/A/B sections
Secondary - contested by C/D/E sections
Tertiary - contested by F/G/H sections
To accommodate these changes, we've made a slight amendment to the wording of the Rules and to bring it in line with the wording used for the 4 A Side competition. Rules can be found in the 'Committee Stuff' section.
The first round will be held on Thursday April 29th - see 'Competitions' section for details of the draw.
New teams please note that no scorecards are required for 8 A Side matches, but please telephone or email your results as soon as possible after the match.
Competition Fees | |||||||
Fees have been re-introduced for 2010 - £2 per player per event (except 8 A Side which is still free).
Competition Draws | |||||||
Due to poor attendance, many of last year's pre-drawn heats were messy. It has been decided that a Committee member will be present at every competition heat this year and will draw the matches on the night, using an approved process.
Men's Singles Final | |||||||
As an experiment, the Men's Singles final this year will be played as the best of five legs rather than three.
Golden Beer Legs | |||||||
The GBL nights are still first Thursday of each month, but due to constraints, you will only be able to collect your beer at the end of the season, on Finals Night from Bampton Village Hall.
For new teams, the entire process is described in the 'News & Features' section.
AGM Update | 30th
