  Finals Night 21/09
   
  The 1979 Bampton & District Aunt Sally season came to an end on Friday 21st September at the well
  attended finals in Bampton W I Hall.
  The trophies were presented by Mr V G Polley, representing Morlands Brewery, who generously donated
  a trophy for the new Mixed Pairs competition.
   
  Singles - A Cooper (Plough Finstock) bt B Govier (Morris Clown)
  Pairs - J Coombes & F Godwin (Eagle) bt R Harris & R Eeles (Eagle)
  Mixed Pairs - T & S Papworth bt P & J Heritage
  Four A Side - Eagle bt Carpenters Brize
  Eight A Side - Eagle bt Bull
  Mullis & Watts Cup - Eagle bt Morris Clown
  Landlords - J Shuker (Eagle) bt P Elliott (Talbot)
   
  It is hoped to keep interest in Aunt Sally alive during the winter months by holding monthly competitions in the
  Bampton W I Hall, the first to take place on Tuesday October 16th at 8 pm.
  All pubs in membership will be circulated but any interested players should contact the Secretary.
