According to past Secretary Bob Watts : |

"In 1971 a competition was organised by the Lord Kitchener but at the end of that, some teams felt they had been badly treated but wanted to carry on playing Aunt Sally. A meeting was held at the Elephant & Castle, Bampton and the existing Association was formed. Ken Mullis was Chairman and I was Secretary. There was only one section and Ken and myself put up the cup. This was the "Mullis and Watts Cup." | |||||||||||
